Once a contact has been invited to an event, the system automatically applies an 'invited' tag to the contact, specific to that event. It is created from the event name in the URL, so if the event name is FiveW Conferences, and the event URL is events.com/fivew-conferences, the invited tag would be fivew-conferences-invited.
There are two ways to invite attendees to an event who have been invited to a previous event.
Option 1.
Use the previous event's invite tag as a filter.
Show the System Tags on the Contacts page
1. Select Contact Settings
2. Tick the box that says Include System Tags and click Save
3. The System Tags column will appear against the record and also display in the left-hand bar
Send an invitation or event communication based on a system tag (fivew-conference-invited in this case).
1. Go to the Communications tab on your event and click Add Scheduled Email
2. Add the email send date and time, subject line and content and then filter by All Contacts (1), with any tags (2) - select the relevant tag, in this case it will be fivew-conference-invited and click the Schedule Email (3) button once you're done.
3. It will appear in the scheduler, you can click on the subject line (in blue) to check that it is going to the correct recipients.
Option 2
Add a new tag to those tagged with a previous invite.
1. Go to your Contacts screen, click on the required System Tag
2. Select all contact with that tag (per page) by clicking on the checkbox (1) and then click the Tag button (2)
3. Add a new tag (1) (call the tag whatever works best) and then click Save
4. All the selected contacts will now have the new tag
To send invitations or communications based on the new tag, follow the steps in Option 1 (above) and use the new tag.
